Navy plans seven-year contract for future V-22 production

The Navy is planning to stretch out the next multiyear procurement contract for V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft to seven years, according to a recent industry notice. Naval Air Systems Command is planning to issue a sole-source contract to the Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office for production of V-22 aircraft spanning fiscal year 2018 through FY-24, according to a Nov. 7 notice posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website.
