SOCOM seeks small VTOL unmanned aircraft system

Special Operations forces are surveying industry for potential options to meet their requirement for a small unmanned aircraft system capable of vertical takeoff and landing. In a Sept. 17 request for information , U.S. Special Operations Command details its interest in a small VTOL unmanned aircraft system "capable of providing reconnaissance and surveillance during day and night operations," according to the notice.
