Subcontracts Put Comanche Payout at $2.7 Billion

The Army could pay as much as $2.7 billion out of pocket to end its Comanche helicopter program once all is said and done, sources say. Much of that total would be spent on the termination of subcontracts. Army Acquisition Executive Claude Bolton this week said terminating the Comanche contract with Boeing-Sikorsky likely would cost between $450 million to $650 million. Army spokesman Maj.
