Triton production review scheduled for next month

The Navy’s MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft will be reviewed by the Pentagon’s top weapons buyer for initial production next month, according to a program official. The Triton program is scheduled for its milestone C review with Pentagon acquisition chief Frank Kendall in June, according to Capt. Jason Rider, principal deputy program manager for persistent maritime unmanned aircraft systems (PMA-262). Kendall will review whether to allow the program to enter low-rate initial production.
