(Editors' note: This story has been updated to include new information from the Air Force.) The Air Force said Tuesday that its move to reduce F-35 Joint Strike Fighter procurement by 45 aircraft over the next four years won't impact the service's overall plan to buy a total of 1,763 jets. In its FY-17 budget request released Feb. 9, the service indicates that reducing its F-35 buy plan between fiscal years 2017 and 2020 will save about $4.6 billion...
