The Defense Department has extended the period for which it will accept feedback on reducing specific regulatory burdens.

According to an Aug. 1 Federal Register notice, DOD will now accept comments on deregulation until Sept. 11, an extension of three weeks.

The Pentagon's regulatory reform task force is seeking information on "solicitation provisions and contract clauses that may be appropriate for repeal, replacement, or modification," according to the notice.

The feedback may also be shared with the Section 809 panel, a federal advisory organization tasked with identifying ways to improve defense acquisition.

The input is sought in accordance with a February executive order from President Trump on alleviating federal government's regulatory burden on industry.
