Garner selected to lead PEO land systems

John Garner, former Marine Corps program manager for advanced amphibious assault, has been selected to the senior executive service and named as the new program executive officer for land systems.

As PEO for land systems, Garner will assume responsibility for a $7 billion portfolio with more than 20 programs and oversee a workforce of 350 acquisition professionals, according to an April 28 service statement.

Col. Wendell Leimbach has been selected to replace Garner as acting PM AAA. Leimbach is currently serving as deputy PM AAA.
