Maxar Technologies -- the company created after MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates, or MDA, purchased DigitalGlobe -- said this week it has named former L3 WESCAM executive Mike Greenley group president of MDA.

MDA is a Maxar company focused on space robotics, satellite antennas and subsystems, surveillance and intelligence and defense and maritime systems. It has multiple locations in Canada.

Greenley, who starts Jan. 15, will oversee "all of the MDA lines of business and its 1,900 employees," Maxar said.

He previously was sector president of L3 WESCAM, which specializes in electro-optical/infrared imaging and targeting sensor systems. Before joining L3 in 2016, he was an executive at CAE and, before that, at General Dynamics.
