Morrison moving to U.S. Cyber Command

The Army announced today Maj. Gen. John Morrison, commander of the Cyber Center of Excellence and Ft. Gordon, GA, has been assigned as chief of staff of U.S. Cyber Command at Ft. Meade, MD.

Morrison will be replaced by Brig. Gen. Neil Hersey, who currently commands the Army Cyber Warfare School and is chief of cyber at Ft. Gordon, GA.

The service also announced Brig. Gen. Omar Jones, chief of public affairs for the Office of the Secretary of the Army, will assume command of the Army Military District of Washington and the Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region.

Jones will be replaced by Brig. Gen. Amy Hannah, director of the Army Marketing Research Task Force in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs.
