The Marine Corps is looking to see if industry can upgrade, modify and maintain the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle fleet at a facility in Kuwait, according to a Federal Business Opportunities notice.

This request for information includes information on the MRAP family of vehicles and not just one MRAP variant, the Sept. 29 notice reads.

"The [Marine Augmentation Program] supports Theater Security Cooperation activities," the notice continues. "The MAP will have a minimum of 410 and a maximum of 1,673 MRAP vehicles that must be kept in an operational state."

The service is looking for vendors who can perform the installation of "significant and complex" engineering change proposal upgrades as well as preventative maintenance, the notice states.

"ECP upgrade installs may potentially include welding and lifting of components," the notice reads. "Preventative maintenance includes keeping the FoV in a turnkey ready state."

Responses are due to the Marine Corps Oct. 17.
