Raytheon names new CIO

Raytheon announced today it has appointed Kevin Neifert chief information officer, effective Jan. 1.

He replaces Rebecca Rhoads, who is president of global business services at Raytheon and had served as CIO for the past 14 years. Neifert will report to Rhoads in his new role.

Neifert previously served as CIO of Raytheon's integrated defense systems business. He joined Raytheon in 2005 as vice president of engineering in the contractor's space and airborne systems unit.
