Northrop bests Boeing-Lockheed team on bomber; Air Force quiet on contract details

The Air Force on Tuesday awarded the coveted Long-Range Strike Bomber development and production contract to Northrop Grumman, overlooking a team bid from Boeing and Lockheed Martin. Although the service did provide independent cost estimates for the program, it did not release a total contract value for production or the engineering and manufacturing development phase.
