USAF finalizing funding profile, timing for Air Force One replacement

With an approved acquisition strategy in place, the Air Force is now working to define a risk-reduction plan for the Presidential Aircraft Replacement program. The non-competitive program will replace Air Force One with a reconfigured Boeing 747-8 airliner, a plan the service announced last January.
