SBSS FO re-phased; new schedule should not impact 2021 launch plans

A slight delay in the Air Force's plans to award a contract for a follow-on to the Space-Based Space Surveillance satellite program won't impact plans to launch the first satellite in 2021. The Defense Department's omnibus reprogramming request indicated the program was re-phased, freeing up $11.5 million from the follow-on effort to support other department needs. A service spokesman later confirmed that plans to award a contract for the effort have shifted from the second quarter of fiscal year 2017...
