DOD working to ensure supply of precision-guided munitions meets need

The Pentagon is taking a number of steps to ensure there are enough precision-guided munitions as increased operations and budgetary shortfalls impact the ability to replace depleted stocks, according to a recent report sent to lawmakers by the director of the Joint Staff. The April 17 report, signed by Lt. Gen. William Mayville, points to a number of steps defense officials have taken to "ensure sufficient munitions are funded, sustained and procured to meet combatant commander operational and contingency requirements"...
