A federal bug bounty program aimed at incentivizing ethical hackers to uncover cyber vulnerabilities in Air Force networks resulted in the identification of 207 valid vulnerabilities. Through a partnership between the Defense Department and platform security provider HackerOne, the service ran a 24-day challenge between May 30 and June 23 to identify potential bugs in its public-facing IT domains.
